ACOVIPA initiated the contact with the new authorities of entities that deal directly or indirectly to the sale of food and consumer goods. The first meeting was with the director of the Panamanian Authority for Food Safety (AUPs) in which he met the new team.
AUPSA announced soon present a report on the elimination of a series of charges and procedures to expedite the importation of products without being detrimental to food security. Similarly, AUPSA expressed interest in participating in the process of taking some processes Panamanian exports. This is still in draft and urged support of the guild.
In the months of September, October and November meetings will continue this kind of open so that partners can participate. Also a series of lectures in conjunction with the work of disseminating information to the central office kept fully informed to member companies on the food sector in Panama.
