Panamanian Authority for Food Safety (AUPs) upheld a $ 25,000 fine against the company Neptune Overseas, the Argentine businessman José Alejandro Miranda, for violating the seals that the agency had placed in a container of flour imported for human consumption. The agency had made those stamps on the ground that the flour actually was not fit for human consumption. For the same case, prosecutors called to trial Miranda, who risk jail terms of 6 to 18 months.
