Lightheaded After Smoking

Summary of the Faculty Board of March 10, 2011

In Board today, which advised the finally there has been no substantial change in the number of places, with which we voted for the proposed center address:

- Journalism: 60
- Philosophy: 50
- Geography: 50
- History: 165
- Art History: 120
- Modern Languages: 50
- Information and documentation: 40
- Classical Studies: 40
- Hispanic Studies: 65
- English Studies: 100

The seats reserved for changes in education (students from other disciplines) will account for 5% of the total (between 2 and 8 people depending on grade). If not fill all the places this limit may be increased. There is no limit to the movement from teaching in extinction (degrees) in degrees. This proposal was approved with 23 votes in favor and 10 abstentions.

has been appointed professor emeritus unanimously.

Two other groups have arisen in the ample opportunity for questions a series of requests. First, it asked the School Board to justify assistance to bodies such as Full Delegates, Student Council and School Board face-to classes, practices and exams. We do not understand exactly who and how they were asked to justify the attendance of representatives of students in these organs. It is our opinion that, first, the theoretical possibility exists to justify these cases of lack of attendance according to the law that protects student representatives (the University Statutes, rules of the Faculty, etc. .. .). Furthermore, in the first two cases (Full and Tips) justify this assistance is the responsibility of the Student Delegation itself as an autonomous body , and we must not give this right and this autonomy to other organs of the university. As suggested at the last meeting of delegation, must be the table of this body which issued some sort of written proof delegates to attend. If it were the case that a teacher rejected this justification, it would obviously take action, but always post. Thus, we understand that this request was not properly raised.

Another question centered on the budget of Delegation and the magazine is promoting. We understand that the policy of student participation limited University funding final expenses (linked to an activity or purpose, an additional expenditure conducted) and that this system works well in the delegations from other schools. We also understand that a budget request of the delegation itself is little practical and that would be imposed a series of very complex administrative requirements to ensure proper use of public funds. The Delegation could, however, to use subsidies to specific activities that offers the Vice President for Students, in addition to those able to give the school management as appropriate. We support the proposal

hanging telematically notes to avoid unnecessary trips to the center students at exam time. We suggest you hang on the ADD, and improve academic anonymity using PINs. We do not understand that from the school management was claimed to be unique to each teacher competence in each subject: the Faculty Board may adopt a resolution at its meetings, and ask the teachers of the meeting center.

Finally, at a question from a student, the school management reported that after the settlement of the Aula Magna is expected to not use this space for future exams or classes.

If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions for upcoming meetings, please inform us through the comments of this blog.

Note: one of the representatives of EDU was unable to attend because they are doing an internship, I apologize.
